Lexy & Andy’s Sunset Connection Session on the Beach – Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica

“What happened was… he swiped right, and then I swiped right. And then it was a Tinder surprise!” – Lexy

My husband and I arrived in Costa Rica, checked into our resort and then headed straight for the beach where we were set to meet Lexy and Andy for their connection session (which we were shooting in leu of an engagement session, the day before their destination wedding at Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica). Lexy had sent a few photos to me of the location before hand and I was so excited, it looked amazing! But to see it in person was even better, the beach with all the dark rock was incredible. My absolute favorite time of day to shoot is golden hour and something about the water and the way the sun light reflects on, I was definitely in my happy place and it was the perfect way to spend our first evening there:)

These two were an absolute dream to shoot. They are so sweet with each other and obviously so in love. Andy mentioned at one point during the shoot that Lexy was in heaven getting all this uninterrupted cuddle time and I think it shows in the photos, so I will let them tell the rest of the story. Check back soon for a sneak peek of their gorgeous boho wedding!

I am currently booking the remaining wedding dates for 2019 and am now open for bookings in 2020. If you are interested in a connection session or wedding photography please get in touch through my contact form here or email me at amy@amycheshire.com

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Wow! This is Pretty Amazing!

I woke up this morning to a really exciting email. Elegant Wedding Magazine has chosen me as one of the top wedding photographers in Toronto!! This is such a huge compliment!! I can’t believe it. You can view their top 16 list here and a feature of Laura and Thomas’s wedding that was featured in the their magazine and on their blog here.

And because no post is complete without some eye candy, here are a few shots from a shoot I worked on with Elegant Wedding Magazine.

Jacquie & Mike’s Engagement Session at High Park – Toronto

Reminiscing on this cold wintery day about the gorgeous weather we had for Jacquie and Mike’s engagement session. I truly miss the warm weather. Only a few more months right?

You may recognize these two from their wedding post. I am doing things a little backwards but I was just so excited to post their wedding photos since this is my baby brother and his amazing wife. So here is a little peek at their first shoot with me.

Courtney & Phil’s Engagement Session at U of T – Toronto

Every time a couple asks me to shoot at U of T my heart does a little happy dance. Ryan and I were married on the campus at Knox College Chapel so it always brings back memories from our wedding day. It also helps that the architecture is incredible so there are so many places to shoot.

Sarah & Jason’s Toronto Wedding at The Palais Royale

These two are one of the most fun couples we have had the pleasure of working with. Their love for life and having a good time is contagious. It is impossible not to laugh and let loose with these two around and their wedding was proof of that.

They said I do overlooking the water at Toronto’s Palais Royale and danced the night away in the gorgeous ballroom. No detail was spared, from the stunning florals to the amazing lightning in the room. I love love love twinkle lights. I think every wedding should have them.

Here is Sarah and Jason’s love story.
